Jede Art der Selbstentwicklung wurde systematisch unterbunden, wodurch besonders f\u00fcr die Wasserlebewesen eine lebensfeindliche Umgebung entstanden ist. F\u00fcr eine Selbstheilung der Natur ist hier weder der Raum noch die Zeit. Deshalb m\u00fcssen die \u00f6kologischen Ausgleichsma\u00dfnahmen technischer Natur sein. Diese grundlegende Widerspr\u00fcchlichkeit nimmt das Kunstwerk <em>Antinomic Biotope<\/em> in vielf\u00e4ltiger Weise auf.<\/p>\n<p>Das <em>Antinomic Biotope<\/em>, eine schwimmende D\u00fcne-Flachwasser-Kombination, thematisiert das Substrat Sand als Lebensraum. Ein nicht trockenfallender, sandiger Flachwasserbereich im Flussbett sowie D\u00fcnen am Ufer sind wertvolle Habitattypen, die fr\u00fcher vielf\u00e4ltig im Hamburger Hafengebiet vorhanden waren, heute dort jedoch nur noch rudiment\u00e4r erhalten sind. Die Landschaftselemente D\u00fcne und Flachwasserbereich werden in einer Anlage auf zwei Ebenen dargestellt: oben auf einem Ponton eine D\u00fcne, darunter h\u00e4ngend ein schwimmendes Flussbett. Die Anlage ist autonom und mobil und kann sich durch Standortwechsel den Erfordernissen einer an den Gesetzen der Hafenwirtschaft ausgerichteten Umwelt anpassen. Sowohl im D\u00fcnen- als auch im Flachwasserbereich des <em>Antinomic Biotope<\/em> k\u00f6nnte Sand aus der Hamburger METHA zum Einsatz kommen. Betrachtet man das Modell <em>Antinomic Biotope<\/em> in seiner Gesamtheit, ergibt sich der offensichtlichste inh\u00e4rente Widerspruch aus der Kombination des \u00dcberwasser und des Unterwasserbereichs. Wo nat\u00fcrlicherweise eine D\u00fcne ist, kann sich nicht darunter eine Flachwasserzone befinden. Hier steht der Gedanke im Vordergrund, m\u00f6glichst viel Habitat auf m\u00f6glichst geringer Fl\u00e4che unterzubringen. Die Folge ist ein erheblicher technischer Mehraufwand. Beispielsweise wird der Flachwasserbereich durch die D\u00fcne verschattet und muss deshalb k\u00fcnstlich mit Tageslicht versorgt werden.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" Eine Du\u0308ne ist ein dynamisches Landschaftselement, das sich am Ufer des \u00c4stuars durch ein Zusammenspiel von Str\u00f6mung, Wind, Sand und Pflanzen entwickeln wu\u0308rde, wenn dies nicht durch menschliche Regulierungsma\u00dfnahmen verhindert wu\u0308rde. Du\u0308nen k\u00f6nnen nicht schwimmen. In gewisser Weise sind sie zwar mobil, sie bewegen sich jedoch sehr langsam und nicht unbedingt dorthin, wo der Mensch sie haben will. Auf der begrenzten und von Wasser umgebenen Grundfl\u00e4che wird die nomadische Du\u0308ne gezwungenerma\u00dfen sesshaft. Erosion wird ausgeglichen und Sand wird regelm\u00e4\u00dfig nachgeliefert. Die Vegetation, die in der natu\u0308rlichen Sukzession zur Bildung einer Graudu\u0308ne und damit zu einer relativ stabilen Formation fu\u0308hren wu\u0308rde, muss eigens angesiedelt, gepflegt und ausgekrautet werden. Damit sich die richtigen Pflanzen hier wohlfu\u0308hlen und ein Lebensraum fu\u0308r seltene Heuschrecken und Schmetterlinge wie zum Beispiel die blauflu\u0308gelige \u00d6dlandschrecke entstehen kann, muss ein zu starker N\u00e4hrstoffeintrag verhindert und vor allem fu\u0308r eine gut funktionierende Drainage gesorgt werden. Hier zeigt sich die Dialektik von Kontrolle und Selbstentwicklung, die beim technischen Biotopbau in einer technisierten Umwelt unvermeidlich ist. Ohne den Menschen geht hier gar nichts, weshalb in botanischen G\u00e4rten eher von der Darstellung von Pflanzengesellschaften gesprochen wird als von der Anlage von itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Noch schwieriger als die Installation des Landbereichs ist die technische Konstruktion des Unterwasserbereichs. Hier soll eine Flachwasserzone mit sauerstoffreichem Wasser und reinem Sand entstehen, ein Habitat fu\u0308r Fische, die Str\u00f6mung m\u00f6gen und an Orten wie diesem laichen. Das schwimmende Flussbett ist als Ru\u0308ckzugs- und Erholungsgebiet fu\u0308r Fische gedacht, die auf ihrem Weg vom Oberlauf der Elbe, u\u0308ber die Tideelbe bis in die Nordsee das Hafengebiet durchqueren mu\u0308ssen. Der Flachwasserbereich muss unabh\u00e4ngig vom Tidenhub funktionieren und darf nicht trockenfallen. Das ist durch die feste Montage unter dem Schwimmk\u00f6rper der Sandbank gegeben. Die gesamte Anlage ist beweglich an Dalben befestigt. Trotz der drei Meter Tidenhub an der Anlegestelle bleibt so der Abstand des ku\u0308nstlichen Flussbetts zur Wasseroberfl\u00e4che gleich. Die Montage unterhalb der Sandbank hat aber nicht nur den Nachteil der Verschattung. Die Wanne, in der das Substrat liegt, muss m\u00f6glichst das Wegschwemmen des Substrats verhindern, gleichzeitig muss die Anlage jedoch fu\u0308r die Fische gut zug\u00e4nglich und einladend sein. Technisch besonders anspruchsvoll ist zudem die Verhinderung der Ablagerung von Sedimenten, denn: Der natu\u0308rliche Gegenspieler des Sandes im Hafengebiet ist der Schlick. Die bisherigen Elbvertiefungen haben zu st\u00e4rkerem Tidenhub gefu\u0308hrt. Deshalb setzen sich die Schwebstoffe des Flusses am Grund ab. Die Verschlickung beschleunigt sich. Eine Gegensteuerung durch in Str\u00f6mungsrichtung angebrachte Schiffsturbinen, die bei Bedarf die Str\u00f6mung aufrechterhalten und so die Sedimentierung unterbinden, ist denkbar. <strong><br
